Everything to know before requesting a quote
Your request goes straight into EasyMove International's quotation system, with your packages and calculations already done. A freight forwarder checks the routing, requests rates from airlines or shipping lines and sends you a detailed quote within 24 business hours, by email, phone or WhatsApp as you prefer. The quote is free and without obligation.
Airlines charge the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight uses the IATA 1:6,000 ratio, i.e. the volume in m³ multiplied by 167. Example: 2 pallets of 120 × 80 × 120 cm weighing 150 kg each measure 2.304 m³, i.e. 385 kg volumetric: that is the weight charged, not the 300 kg actual.
With FCL you book a whole container (20', 40' or 40' HC) for your cargo only. With LCL groupage your cargo shares a container with other shipments and you pay on a W/M basis: the higher of the volume in m³ and the weight in tonnes. Above roughly 13 to 15 m³ a full 20' container is often cheaper; we can quote both options.
For air freight and LCL, the price depends on the volume of each package. Without length, width and height a quote cannot be reliable and may be corrected when the goods are received. The form accepts packages one by one or pasted straight from Excel or a packing list.
We prepare the transport documents and coordinate export and import customs formalities with registered customs representatives. At destination, clearance is arranged with our partner agents on request.
Yes, subject to review. For dangerous goods, give the UN number (4 digits, section 14 of the safety data sheet) and, for air freight, whether the shipment is accepted on passenger aircraft (PAX) or cargo aircraft only (CAO). For temperature control, air freight offers +2/+8 °C and +15/+25 °C; by sea, a reefer container is set to the requested temperature.
For exports we quote EXW (pickup at your premises), FCA or FOB. For imports, DAP or DDP. Destination charges are never included in an export quote: they are shown separately, as collect, when you request them.
Yes. The volume is estimated automatically from the size of your home (studio, 1-bed, 2-bed, house…), then confirmed by a video or on-site survey. Packing, dismantling and reassembly, storage, insurance and vehicle shipping are available as options.
